Oil Spill Update

The spill is about five miles directly offshore, being blown north toward us right now. It's completely heartbreaking.

And try not to think about what happens if a hurricane or heavy storm comes ashore - black oil rain across the eastern US.

I'm too depressed to post any more.

Maybe James Cameron will save the day?

I watch all of this on the news constantly and just get so angry..and feel so helpless. It's incredibly frustrating...and I do not live anywhere near it. I can only imagine how you must be feeling, Hon.

It's a travesty.

Travesty, No. Tragedy, absolutely.

Before it is all over, every shore in the gulf will be lined and it will be making its way up the East Coast and down to Mexico shores.

This will be a new environment we will be handing our children.

Why oh why didn't we push our government to alternatives 30 years ago, as we should have.

Aw Sweetie, I'm sorry. You're all in our thoughts and prayers over here on the west coast. We are horrified, heart broken and sickened for the health of the entire East Coast.

((hugs))

I know how sickening all of this is, we feel it here too even though not as close to it as you are. I do hope you're feeling better. I am missing your posts, they always make me happy that I am in this business and have folks like you as collegues. I wish I knew what to say here.

It is depressing. Broke as a joke I am I did end up donating at least 50 bucks to the gulf coast fund.
